AFK punishments, and Help for those who are affected

So I was just in a game where 3 people went AFK in the first 5 minutes and me and another player had promo matches this game. The game was over in less than 20 minutes.

I don't think that you should lose LP if 2 or more people AFK in a game. 1 person, it's possible for a comeback. But 3 people in 5 minutes is not. It's not fair that other people on your team should suffer for some pricks who think they're the best people in the universe and shouldn't have to play with people when they don't win.

Please Riot, I'm begging you

I think losing LP is necessary in any ranked game, and that the enemy team should gain LP for winning, even if 4v5 or 3v5. However, I do agree you shouldn't lose such a high amount of LP.

I'm not 30, but from what I know about ranked you gain/lose LP based on rank and MMR. I think in any game where a summoner disconnects the amount you lose should be halved or reduced significantly. (Again I don't know a lot about ranked but I'm just trying to help)

Something definately needs to be done about afk/disconnects/trolls. I think the person who afks/disconnects should lose the current amount of LP per loss while the rest of their team takes significantly less of a blow. I understand this could be exploited but I'm confident the folks at Riot could figure out a way to prevent that. SOMETHING needs to be done. I vote more severe punishment for the leaver and less severe loss for their team. I was in promotion for Gold V form Silver I 5 times before the season end, and 4/5 of them I got trolled into losing multiple games. I would have Elise and Victorious Elise skin and Gold icon/border if not for trolls/ragers right now. I placed Bronze I because I played against high mmr summoners with my Gold 3 buddy in placement and only won 4/10. From there I was immediately promoted to Silver V, skipped 4 and went to 3, skipped 2 and went to 1 and then got stuck in promotions cause of trolls. Feeders need to be worth less gold and eventually (in-game) treated like a leaver. This would apply to ranked games only unless the system implemented is really good. Ranked needs to have stricter rules with more severe punishments for trolling, imo.

I think that you shouldn't lose LP in a 4v5 or 3v5, and that the afk/leaver should lose all the cumulative LP that the entire team would have lost.

that sucks bro

the reason why riot is reluctant to do what you suggest. is because then u would have a guy who is feeding be pressured into leaving by his teammates so that they don't lose LP. that would be a very slippery slope.

and it sucks being in that situation, but, if you deserve to be promoted to another tier, then you'll earn your way back up. so just take it as part of the game for now. it happens to everyone, in that at least, it is fair.

it would be nice if there was someway to test your latency before you entered a game, that would tell you if you're going to lag heavily. but apart from that i mean, shit happens.

They could take what you normally loose by half for those who stayed and double for those who left if more than 2 disconnected. (I have won a 2 v 5 before so it is possible)
