just started playing ARAM alot...how is this "random". today alone i have had wukong 4 out of 5 games. and most games i play have a teemo, kat, malph, blitz. there are some chars i dont think i have ever seen. does it have a pool weekly that is more chance to get picked or is it just totally "random"
It's random out of the champs you own. People just often make ARAM accounts that only have certain champs.
It SHOULD be made random out of ALL champs, IMO.
In addition to Centuros' comment, there's been some anecdotal evidence that if you own a champ on the Free Roster, you have a higher chance to roll them (as if they're on your list twice).
There's also the bias beyond just ARAM only accounts. My friend and I both play ARAM often, but as I only unlock champions I know I can handle and play well, my pool is smaller and I'm more reliable on them all. He however, is out to get every champion, and thus his pool is larger/less reliable, making him less likely to want to ARAM. He regularly trades in lobbies, and spams his rerolls when they're available. I've gone on 30 game streaks without having to reroll.
popular champs are rolled more often as more people have them. also free champs
ah ok, i figured it was out of all champs. weird i have had wukong 4 out of 5 today i have a fair size champ pool.
Its just as likely to get wukong 4/5 times as it is to get wukong, syndra, orianna, swain, gragas.
