Explanation on ranking system?

So I just won a couple of games. They gave around 15 LP each, then I lost and it costed 22 lp. Why do I lose more LP then I gain per game?

Is there a way to reset my rank before the season ends, if so how?

because your matchmaking rating is low

the game says you should be a lower division so to move up you have to prove it wrong

If you lose more than you win that means you win less than 50% of your games.You need to consistently win more than 50% of your games to have positive gains.

No, there is no way to reset your rank.

Lol there is no bias in the ranking system. If you can't win games consistently then the system will recognize that you don't belong at that level. You will then start losing more LP per loss then you gain per win until you get to a point were you start winning more games. If you start winning a lot of games the system will start placing you against harder competition and you will gain more LP then you lose. The system places people where they belong and if you hate the game so much why do you play?

My team is losing the game. I am doing more than my part. I have trolls and people who give up far to often on my team. This game has it out for me. 3 times in a row, I get paired with trolls, afks, and then I expected to win with these kind of people! It's like play with terrorists!

The reason you are expected to win is because everyone has to deal with the same issues. Every team can have a troll, feeder, or afk'er, but they still have to deal with it. The issues that you complain about will happen to every single player. And despite all the issues that lower elos have, people are constantly making it out of Bronze and climbing the ranked ladder all on their own.

I am not saying that Bronze 5 isn't terrible, and that you just need to learn how to carry. I am saying that you need to look at how you can play the game in a manner that will best help your team to win the game. Just because you are able to CS well and have a positive KDA doesn't mean you are playing in a manner that will help you win the game. In lower elos objective control isn't the strongest point for a lot of players. And just because you may understand it doesn't mean that your team mates will.

You focus a lot on all of the issues with this game and how terrible your team mates are. You seem to get an unnatural number of afk's. I am not going to lie that would really suck. But if you only focus on the issue then it will never change. Blaming your team and focusing on how they lose you the game will result on your situation never changing. Focus on how to learn strategies for how to win, no why you lost.

Playing normal's is not useless, you can practice new champions without worrying about doing poorly and tanking your ranked mmr. You can practice strange builds that may work but go against the meta. you may even run across some players that you like and can team up with. Also, I have found positive communication will actually help defuse fights, and can improve peoples play. A simple "glhf" can inspire a bit more team work. Complementing a good play, and encouraging the team can also go a long way. And if someone is making a consistent mistake a kind suggestion will work alot better then complaining and raging in chat.

And as for your MMR, the situation is pretty black and white, it's bad. you have fallen below even the average for Bronze players and that generally means that you will constantly be matched up against more unskilled people and there is a greater potential for trolls. The only solutions that I can think of is: dodge if you see a troll in champ select, don't try new champions in ranked and make sure you get at least several games of practice with them in normals first, take a break if you are one a losing streak, and duo with a player that you can work well with.

Don't play ranked and you will never have to feel insulted.

It also gives you the ability to tell bronzes they are the bottom of the barrel and that You may or may not be. You have never been officially ranked so for all you know you are challenger league.

But there is no pint to playing the other modes. Nothing is at stake!

Well for me there is something called "fun". But I do understand that for some others fun only comes from winning.

I would tend to agree but this is RIOT.. there is also server wide DC.

you have a hidden matchmaking rating. if your mmr is lower than your rank, riots system decides you dont belong there and you will lose more LP on losses than you gain on wins.

if you win more than 50% of your games for a while your mmr will raise and soon it will be easier to gain LP.
