Free Champion Rotation Indexabase September 19th Forecast
I have been reading the patterns, Earthling. You are not prepared for the terror
they foretell...
What's up, everybody! It's that time of the week where I shake my magic 8-ball and hope take a look at the trends and try to give you an idea of what's coming with the next free champion rotation. And now that I've been doing this for about a month, I think I can safely say that I may not get everything right, but I will get something right.
HOW IT WORKS When counting what types of characters show up I count everything every time it appears. For example, if Malzahar and Soraka were on the free rotation, I would count that as two Mages, one Assassin, and one Support. I'll post the champion type logs for the last several weeks to help you get an idea of the recent trends.
TYPE CASTING LOG ((Key: A=Assassin, F=Fighter, MAG=Mage, S=Support, T=Tank, MAR=Marksman))

ACCURACY AND FORECAST FOR SEPTEMBER 19th
The accuracy was a little weird this week. The Type Casting went down two from last week's four, with me only predicting the Fighter and Support
delegations correctly. The champions were mostly what I'd expect around Worlds, with some classic out-play champions(Zed, Riven Bard) making appearances. On the other hand, I correctly forecasted four champion appearances- Graves, Malzahar, Lucian, and Volibear; which is up from three correct for the previous two weeks.
FORECAST: Assassin: Given how Assassin and Mage have the most fluctuation in their squad numbers and how Assassins are "out-play" champs, it's not a huge surprise they sent one extra this week. Once again, I'm going to forecast two being sent. Be on the look out for everyone's favorite yordle, Teemo, and Jax or Rengar to spring from the bushes.
Fighter: After worlds have wound down, I'm expecting the most populated type to dial things back and only crank out four champs for their next squad. Keep your eyes peeled for Sejuani, Vi, and Irelia.
Mage: I whiffed on the Mage squad last week, but as I've seen, Riot's willing to nudge Marksmen to the side to give mages some more room. I'm calling in four mages for the 19th. Grip your pillow tight and keep one eye open for Heimerdinger, Twisted Fate, Aurelion Sol.
Support: Support is one of the more steady squads. Given something I'll bring up in just a moment, I think in the next several weeks we should be seeing more of everyone's favorite character type. The tea leaves say three for next week. Keep an ear to the ground for Tahm Kench, Taric, and Alistar.
Tank: The Tank squad's numbers tanked(dodges tomato) this week, so I think I'll only forecast three for next week. Watch the ache in your knees for Wukong, Nautilus.
Marksman: As I've mentioned, Marksman's attack range has some overlap with Mage, a more populated class; for the first time in my records the Markman only sent out one. They'll bounce back up to two next week, with champions like Azir and Caitlyn.
Also, as I speculated with the posting of the full Indexabase, the next champion would be an Assassin+Fighter. I still think it's highly unlikely we'll get another Support+Mage so soon, but the teasers have made me think that possibly the new champ will be an Assassin+Mage. A few weeks ago I didn't think that that would work, but it would certainly be new, and Riot doesn't have many numbers left to paint in.
Well, that's all for this week.
And as always, if you're playing ARAM and you see you have a teammate that got Bard, duck the battle- there is no circumstance in which you want to risk playing with a bot controlled Bard.
