Riot Needs to Fix the Broken Banning System

in the resent months i have received chat banns and ranks bans for unfair reasons by simple duo q's who are raging at me and report me for verbal abuse. the report system in this game is extremely bad. Chat bans i can deal with because all it does is force me to call out ganks and initiation with pings but today around 30 mins ago i was given a 2 week rank ban after i decided to respond to someone who was verbally abusing me after i did absolutely nothing wrong. riot sent me my chat log and through 3/4 of the chat log i was explaining myself and to the person that was verbally abusing me even our teams soraka admitted that the adc corki was constantly abusing me for no reason and i was simply responding to him. yes i understand that this can be a negative effect on the game but i have had many games, where a team member is verbally abusing and i chose to not respond to explain myself and this let other allies to jump on the falls abusing wagon blaming me for things when i had done nothing wrong. im sure many of you face this same exact issue.

i want riot to change this system because league of legends is the only game that bans its player base on no evidence, but simply because one person and his duo q friends decide its ok to report someone to get them banned.

this is the match history of the match i was banned for if u wish to follow the time line.

if you read through this and follow the match history will u see that i had done everything i should have done as the jungler. my corki was raging out on me for having tried to help our losing top laner rather than his lane that he was winning. and as u can see in chat i mention that i left him and soraka alone with no ganks because they were constantly winning 2v2 fights with double kills. however he went on to rage at me because he was being killed tryn who i didnt feed as he claimed all game and because i tried to explain myself in chat he kept insulting me and because he can report me for verbal abuse when i did no such thing while he had i am the one being banned for 2 weeks. this is completely unfair and the reason i find riot games banning methods extremely flawed.

Being insulted doesn't give you the right to be toxic. You think "I'm just defending myself", but you're also making it worse for everyone else in the game that has to deal with it; you're creating new victims by not simply muting them and moving on.

Also, "unfair Duo reports" isn't a thing. Reports from multiple people do not stack and have any more weight than one. This prevents premades from abusing it. If you were toxic and were reported, the system will validate the report. If you weren't and they report you, then the report is invalidated and their reports lose weight in the future.

If you think this isn't toxic, I'd love to see your other chat logs. You deserve every restrict and suspension you get.

I like how you claim that Riot bans players with no evidence, but then actually show the log they sent you - which is full of insults and hate speech. It's a solid way to demonstrate that you have absolutely no idea what you did wrong. So here it is:

You didn't defend yourself. You attacked someone else.

Did they attack first? Yes, presumably. Are they responsible for those actions? Yes. Does that matter to your case? Not in the slightest.

There is a point here that I have never seen anyone talk about. If I walk down the street and some random person says something rude to me I have some choices... I'll pick the best and the worst... I hear the comment and I turn and say something nasty back, maybe it stops there and maybe I get my Ass kicked in or worse... I ignore the comment and go on my way and most times that is all there is to it..

IRL often it is best to keep walking ! And I believe that the Age base on LOL is young enough to learn that Sometimes it is better to just keep walking.. I honestly believe that many people playing LOL don't understand this lesson and I hope that Riot keeps in mind that by setting a standard about bulling and the consequence of talking back is a good thing.

But I can't help but put my personal opinion in on this and that is I hate bullies !!! I hate IRL Bullies I Hate Cyber Bullies !!! So In conclusion even though OP and I disagree with what should or shouldn't be punished, I'd actually have some consideration for their complaint.

Sorry D ...after the way you talked to me I simply think you are a cyber bully. However, even though your last comment to me seemed sarcastic I truly hope that you might learn a lesson from a game that I Had to learn IRL...

Honestly, I comment on post like yours to try to break threw and tell you ( anyone who reads ) that their are life lessons that Riot takes Time and Resources to try and make a difference.

I like how you make a post acting like the innocent little victim but your chat log shows you being completely toxic lol. And Riot doesn't just ban you based on the number of reports (they may chat restrict you solely from reports), but in order to actually receive a ban, once they receive a high volume of reports towards you your chat logs are basically filtered for insults/toxicity and if they find enough to prove the reporters right you will get suspended.

I truly have a hard time believing people who put up threads like this Don't understand what they did wrong. I'm not sure what else Riot could do to make you OP learn it is not okay to talk the way you have on those logs.

You say you received other punishments before...you Had to known this behavior was frowned upon ... I have to ask Did you learn anything this time or do you really believe your being treated unfairly ? Because honestly if you still don't get it you are headed to a perma-ban...Do you want that ?

If you don't want it then please listen to the people who have tried to give you advice in ways much nicer then I ...Good Luck.

DON'T push your pathetic excuses on to ME !!! I Have Never been Warned or punished in Any manner either here or in game Period . I control myself... I will say here and now that Riot may post Any game chat I have Ever had and or pick any randomly and put on this forum for proof . I am tired of rude people trying to tell me and others that we have done the same as you have !

I was trying to tell you in a nice way to take a look at yourself and quick because if you continue you will get a Perma...!!! You accusing me of doing what you did on those logs is the same as you telling yourself it is alright to be a Jerk because someone Might have been a Jerk to you. GROW UP !

P.S. Before it is asked...Yes I do stand up for myself and my teammates. I do so sternly and within the TOS and then stop asking them to be nice..I never mute and hardly report but begin to think I should report more...Good Day to you Sir !!!

Way too many insults and curses. There are ways to call out toxic players without raging at them the way you did. And if all else fails, just mute and /ff and get on with your life.

Thanks for that and to be honest I really just wanted you to realize that the system may not be right for every situation but I really was concerned that if you kept up the way you were going it'd be a perma-ban.

Even though we had some words I think your okay to Man :) And I really do wish you luck...I hope you have a lot of fun playing in the future and please let me know how you are doing with it :)
