Ranked Matchups

One thing that I do want to bring up if nobody has already (although I'm sure someone has) is the fact that in ranked play, rarely am I matched with players the same skill level or rank as I am. I played my promotional not long ago (for the very first time) and every single game, my team was all bronze or promotional players, and the opposing team was all silver or higher. Nonetheless I went 2 wins 8 losses and was placed in Bronze III. Which I was happy about.

However, now that my promotional is over I find that I still don't get matched with equivalent players, I'm still against players that are vastly above me. I have only had one game where the game has had entirely bronze players. This is something that needs to be addressed, because bronze players playing against silver and gold is unfair. If the teams were more balanced it wouldn't bother me, but the teams are always bronze/promotional on one side and silver+ on the other. Wouldn't it make more sense if we could be against similarly ranked players (Bronze VS Bronze, Silver VS Silver, etc). I think everyone would agree that playing a game you have no chance of winning is aggravating to say the least. I feel like a punching bag for the big kids at recess and it makes me not want to play ranked. I'm not moaning about the fact I'm in bronze, it fits my skill level, but what doesn't fit my skill level is being placed against players that can beat my with their eyes closed.

I understand that at the higher levels (Platinum, diamond, etc) there are too few people to be able to make constant matches. But if you were to lump from the top down, there would be. Platinum & Diamond could queue together, Gold & Silver, but bronze is big enough by itself to sustain its own queues. It would be easier on lower ranked players to get better if we could play against people of similar skill levels.
