Lore: A Journey Into New Lore. Please do not repeat prior mistakes

I recently read that the current lore is being scrapped/Overhauled to create a more cohesive lore where all characters has some interaction with one another, the one problem I have with this is due to a change in lore that I feel was a big let down, Trundle. Trundle's base storyline was solo, I understand that it was a one shot that connected him to no one else he also wasn't summoned he goes to the rift of freely on his own to seek a cure for his curse. That now with his new lore trundle has champions to have unique interaction with from the freljord but the main problem was his original story line was he was a champion of his people he served them by taking the curse they all bore, and took it on himself and then left the village so they may never suffer it again. Transition to new lore, trundle gets kicked out of his clan runs finds a big mace of true ice steals it gets caught, vows to help some wicked ice witch then goes back to his tribe kills his leader takes over the tribe and vows to conquer all and even betray the witch. Old trundle nice guy who just wanted to save his people, New trundle GIANT FLAMING DOUCHEBAG who wants to kill and destroy all in his path. The fix, instead of straight up scrapping old lore and replacing it maybe instead tweak it and evolve it to explain the changes of look and skill. since again you have made pretty much every character have some agenda to head to the summoners. so why not have some of them progress their agendas maybe instead of having trundle change the way he did he ended up hearing about true ice and it's magical properties and how he planned to try it out for healing himself of his curse, and the ice witch . there are other options other then replacing, upgrading is always a strategy as many a League o Legend player knows. let me know what you think, opinions straight up objections anything.
