MMR Question

So the other day, i had a very rough day on league. i went on an 8 game loss streak, and a 5 game loss streak. The next day i went on a 9. Needless to say, i dropped from plat 5 100LP to gold 1 0 LP. My mmr also got DESTROYED and is at almost 1600, while the average is 1700 for gold one.

However, today I've won eight straight and climbed back into series, (only gaining 14 a win) I'm just kinda scared here. If I get into plat again, proving that i belong there, am i going to get demoted right away again because of my low mmr? I really think that my MMR should just stabilize to the plat area considering ive been in plat before, and it just dropped in a bad run.
