Question About Ranked Rewards (rito pls help)

Are the end of the season rewards based on the tier you're currently in when the season ends, or the highest tier you've ever gotten prior to the season ending during a point in ranked? Wondering this because I'm currently at 0 lp Diamond V, and I want to continue playing ranked, but if I lose I'll get demoted, so I'm hesitant to do so because if the rewards are based on the elo you're in at the end of the season I don't want to get plat rewards.

In other words, does my "peak" matter at all in relation to the reward system if I should fall to a lower tier, or is this purely decided by what division I'm in at the exact end of the season? If I recall correctly, last season it was based on your peak, but I can't find any info on whether or not this has changed.

I believe its what rank you are CURRENTLY in once the season is over. I know the feeling, i'm at 0 points in Silver 5, but not playing ranked because i want the Silver rewards. But next year, GAME ON, i'm going to only play ranked :-)

Its based off of the current rank and if you are diamond 5 you need to lose a lot of games to fall. Its not as easy to fall from diamond 5 to plat 1 as it is to fall from diamond 4 to diamond 5. Its a completely big difference. Losing a couple games won't really hurt. Losing 10 might.

Help! I got carried/boosted to Diamond and clearly do not even know the basics of the policies or game itself. Will I still get the shiny border I paid a lot of money for if I actually play games at Diamond and get my face torn off by people who are actually Diamond players?
