Champion Select

I love League of Legends, but have trouble with the Champion Select. I don't have the fastest computer or internet connection, so it takes a few seconds to actually join the Champion Select. Due to this, it is difficult to call a lane that hasn't been taken because I miss out on the very beginning of the conversation in the room. Either it will show that I called something before someone else or it wont even show the first calls. This is very frustrating because I can't tell if someone is lying that they called a lane before me. It would be great if Riot could somehow fix this, such as making it so no one can talk in chat until everyone is fully in Champion Select. Thanks for reading. :)
