Sad Ritual before each Lol Game

Want to hear something sad? My computer is a potato, but I love it. But in order to play Lol, I have to do a weird ritual to prevent my computer from crashing and freezing. Here is the ritual.

As soon as my computer gets to the windows desktop, I immediately need to turn on a game that plays in the background. I don't play this game, but it gives the computer something to do. If the computer is left idle, in 2 minutes it freezes. The game can also not be too strenuous and make other games play slow. I have tried many different games that are just in the background, but the best one I have found to work for me is Baldurs Gate 2. So I load that up and let it sit on the menu screen.

Next, time to load up LOL!

But if it needs an update, I have to restart the computer and let it run in safe mode. Reason? While it updates in normal mode, the computer will crash once it gets to 51% or 52%. Then I have to start the download all over again. I have found that, for Lol only, it can update safety in safe mode. So once update is done, I can then restart in normal mode.

Now I am in the game client. Load up a game. I pick a champion, and everyone is locked in. Ritual is not done.

As soon as the timer gets to zero, and the client cuts out and displays the Lol title, I immediately need to click is fast as I can on the black screen that preludes the player champion loading screen. I need to click as hard and as fast as I can into the void. If I do this correctly, the game loads up and we can game with no more problems.

And until I can get a better computer, this is also the reason I only play bot games. Sad.

you seem to be confusing performance for what sounds like a virus

my 10 year old Nephew plays LoL and he was complaining that he needed a new computer despite my brother having bought one for him not even a year ago. I took a look through it and noticed that he had deactivated his Firewall and the whole PC was just destroyed by malware.

when I asked him why he disabled the firewall he said "LoL won't let me play unless I turn it off." Apparently he didn't take the time to research how to make exceptions in the Firewall and just disabled the thing. you should get your PC thoroughly sweeped for viruses, and make sure your Firewall is on and functioning properly.

In-between every match I pretend I actually have a life, and then remember I've been playing for 7 hours.

My friend sent me a friend request one time, and I didn't get it at first so we spent like 30 minutes trying to figure it out. Turns out my internet is horrible and I got the friend request 2 hours later.

Man, that's so sad.

I got an alienware, just for playing games right...

Leaving LOL idle for 2 minutes gives me a message saying pvp client has disconnected.

I can't even make friends anymore coz after every game, it hangs, goes straight to the home page and that's it. I can't connect unless I restart it.

I use to play this game lots last year then got back into it. It used to work seamless with windows 8.1, now I dunno what happened. Maybe justin beiber died or something and the server maintenance team lost their purpose in life and couldn't care less about the players anymore.

I used to be happy, but now i'm sad.
