Can anything be done about trolls and uncommunicative people during draft pick?
So there i am in draft pick, luckily not a ranked game as I was just trying to blow off a little steam before bed. Anyway I state that I have a preference for top lane. Before anyone says anything I'm WELL aware that's its pick order. I was third in the order, first was going mid, so I said I'd like top lane. The second pick doesn't say anything, not a single thing. He and I are picking at the same time so i figure I'm secure in picking someone for top lane. He then picks a top lane champion 10 seconds before the time runs out, still without having said a word. Time runs out, we get locked in. This is the second time this has happened in the past couple games. This time I was lucky enough to be experimenting with vayne top as she is rather good against the bruisers likely to be top and also unlikely to be picked against as it's assumed she's adc until someone else picks adc. The other game i was in I wasn't so lucky but I managed to pick another champion right before time ran out. I went bot lane, got destroyed partly because I'm not great at adc, partly because I was counterpicked, and partly because my support said "ima do me" and trolled. I'd have been fine if he'd just said something before it got to us picking. I could have picked a safer adc, gone jungle, or even gone support but I was locked into a rather high skill adc against her counterpick all because he couldn't say just three letters to let me know he was going top.
TLDR : He basically did the draft equivalent of a last second lock-in forcing you to scramble to change or duo lane.
Is there anything that can be done about people that are uncommunicative in chat and completely screw you over? Something I was thinking of was that if we keep the 1-2-2-2-2-1 pick order thing, switching off between sides, we could make it so its still one person picking at a time. When you have two people on the same side picking maybe make it so one picks, with his own timer and everything, then the next one picks, with a separate timer and a chance to react to whatever the other person picked. Having <10 seconds to decide not only on a different role and champion but also trying to keep in mind the rest of your teams preferences and strong/weak points just because the other person picking with you is uncommunicative and should probably not be playing a team game really sucks.
On a side note, if i report someone will pregame match making be shown? been a while since i've done tribunal. if it's not maybe it should be. some people act like total tools in the pregame and then there's sometimes nothing reportable during the game so it just looks like you're being a dick if you do report them, meanwhile they've screwed over your game and will likely end up reporting you if you get rightfully pissed at them.
