LOL in Public! Not as funny as it sounds.
I've recently ran into a lifestyle where having an internet provider at home is not an option. I live in a small rural town so we don't even have a cyber cafe. So I have reluctantly chosen to continue to play LOL in public. I mostly hit up Starbucks and the best so far is Jack in the Box where they offer high speed internet that no one even uses. Aside from the lack of embarrassment of mad clicking and smashing in my keyboard I have found this situation a bit of an inconvenience. The main reason i felt the inspiration to write this was due to a situation I have just encountered that is making me think twice before sitting down to play. A kid and his mom, kid comes over starts asking questions i politely respond but nervously laugh since I myself wouldn't let my kid talk to strangers (and yes I don't have kids). The kid starts to get bored and starts to click on my keyboard and just overall be annoying. Now before you judge me for being a prune I did take all aspects of the situation into account. You have me being annoyed that this kid just made me fail flash, the mom who is of course neglecting her child and continuing to knit or whatever shes doing, and the kid that hes sucking on an Oreo shake packed with sugar with nothing to entertain his sugar rush. On one side I feel bad for the mom, but she has to know she is directly responsible for this. I mean this seems less like the child's behavioral issue and more of a neglecting issue. Kids take up so much space despite their tiny bodies, and being a parent is of course difficult but she is forcing this kid to literally sit put and do nothing while getting him a sugar rush. I know so contradictory this is when I say not all people should be parents if they don't want to deal with the parenting part of it which is don't make your kid an asshole, let me rephrase that don't make your kid seem like an asshole to strangers but in reality your kid is just reacting to neglect and bad nutrition. Anyways I oddly feel better about this situation, and this post was hardly about league. So, let me know about your own hardships about getting a secure connection, or give me feedback about my point of view on this situation.
and they avoid me without ever saying a word.
