because of matchmaking every time I go on a winning streak it is stuck in the back of my mind that riot will make me go on a losing streak in the future to balance it out. for every win they make me take a loss. maybe sometimes I will get a win when they were trying to make me lose but it doesn't matter they will just give me even harder matches in later games. how do people deal with this without feeling hopeless and depressed?

Basically, if you keep winning, you rank up, right? Once you rank up, you are paired with stronger opponents, right? And if you keep winning even after beating a people from a few tiers above you, Riot will increase the scale of climbing, meaning you will be up against even stronger opponents, at which point, you will be gaining a lot more LP when winning and losing a lot less LP when losing. However, if that tier isn't for you, you will continue losing because you are not at the skill level to stay in that league. You will lose and lose and lose until you start winning again. Eventually you will be winning 50% of your games, which is an indicator that you are at where your skill level it, be it bronze silver gold plat or even diamond, that is where you belong

that's why I don't understand why people are upset about trolls and afks too. if you lose from an afk you will just get an easy win later because riot helps you stay at 50% if you are where you belong.
but to me it feels like nothing I do matters. if I play well and win im just causing myself to lose later. and If I play badly and lose its fine because I will get a win for it in the future. what am I missing?
AuraMax2 votesAs you get better you will start to win more games than lose games. Your MMR will adjust to where Riot thinks you should be at. If you have equal wining streak and losing streak then it means you are at an appropriate MMR. If you master a champion or a few champions and keep playing them you'll have a better chance at increasing your MMR.
Btw your MMR is different for each of these modes: Summoners Rift Normal, Summoners Rift Ranked, Twisted Treeline and Crystal Scar. So if your on a losing streak in one mode try hopping onto another mode. I usually switch to Crystal Scar if I'm on a losing streak in Summoners Rift.
