The Captain in this game was....Wuks Urgot for raining death from above! Gangplank would be proud!

Ahoy scallywags!

It’s been awhile since our last encounter and we figured it’s high time that we challenge the community to some cutthroat, winner-takes-all, games! With the recent Bilgewater event going on, we want these matches to take part on Butcher's Bridge. We’re looking forward to discovering who deserves the title of Captain and who has what it takes to control the high seas!

We’re planning on setting sail tomorrow, July 24th, from 3:00pm – 6:00pm PDT! As with our previous meetup, we’ll continue to stream these games for everyone’s viewing enjoyment.

Here's the link to the stream!

In-between games, we’ll be updating this discussion with the Lobby Name and Password. Once its filled, the game will start!

It's nice to see proof Riot Games cares about its players' health so much they they're willing to pelt them with oranges to prevent scurvy. See you on the Bridge, you landlubbers!

PS. Do the poro rats explode when fed enough poro snax? Come to think of it, are they even called poros at all?

RiotInfinite Veritas4 votes

Actually they're just wharf rats, haha...TIL

Albus Dingledoo2 votes

Anything like this going to happen on EUW this time?

RiotdArtagnan3 votes

Currently, this is only a North American event >.<

We will be playing mainly ARAM, so if you have an NA account, feel free to sign in and join in! :)

Torix2 votes

This would be a great event if almost half the league community wasn't having problems with crashing and red shop screens. Edit: Rito has fixed it

RiotdArtagnan3 votes

We have actually released a hotfix for the Mac crashes! It should resolve the Red background in the shop, as well as stop the game from freezing/crashing.

I love that you guys are doing this and hope to see more in the future. Only complaint is that I'm stuck at work and won't get home until after 6 so I can't try to play. But it's not Riot's fault I have to work. Maybe in the future you can do games on a week day and maybe a weekend day for a few hours? :D

Ahrzayl1 votes

Oh good! Hope to see everyone there!

aaronautumn1 votes

how does this work

RiotdArtagnan2 votes

Come tomorrow at 3pm PDT, we will update this thread with a Lobby Name and Password. Once you join, you will have an opportunity to play some Butcher's Bridge games with Rioters from Player Support! We have to see who the real Captain of the bridge is :D

aaronautumn1 votes

:-) sounds like fun

TheDuelist9992 votes

Holy **** this guys name. I'd say he needs to be at least Diamond to live up to the name but lets be honest Porthos was the real carry of that team.

RiotdArtagnan2 votes

There was no true carry, all pulled their weight. Remember, all for one, one for all!

TheDuelist9992 votes

lol ya I was just trying to pick fun at the name but it's hard with such an awesome character

Darkshade241 votes

Tomorrows my birthday! It would be great to be able to celebrate it with some Rioter games :)

RiotInfinite Veritas2 votes

Happy (early) Birthday! We'll be playing for a while, so hopefully you'll be able to join us for one of the game! :)

Keagn1 votes

Ohhhhhhhhh...I NEED THIS.

######I need this...

For some reason, I want to watch a few matches of diamond level rioters vs bronze players.

Catch ya on the Bridge ye pox-ridden curs

Personwithhat1 votes

Er, any chance of you hosting the same thing on Saturday, PDT? There's a high likelihood of me being online from like 8AM-6PM PDT ^_^

But I doubt my chances of making it into the Friday ones

Side note:

Please buff Galios mana regen rate. Oh god it's so bad it's painful. XD I'm actually considering full MP5 glyphs, seals, and Quiscients..... just so I don't have to build the grail.

Did I mention that he scales better with MP than AP? And I can't build MP due to grail? :<

RiotInfinite Veritas2 votes

It can be hard to wrangle everyone into games over the weekend, people spending time with their SO's, adventuring, etc. But we should continue to host community games like this in the future :)

Personwithhat1 votes

Aw, well I hope it works out for this Saturday ^_^

I just find it sad that you guys only reply to posts like this, and anything vital seems to be shoved "under the rug".

:<

Once we get closer to 3pm PDT, I will update the thread with the Lobby Name and Password!

Thanks for joining in and playing!

Keisto2 votes

Just be sure not to hop into SoloQ with my crazy ARAM Tahm build or you'll be demoted to River Squire.

Logical Yasuo1 votes

Sorry my computer blue screened in game 3

RiotdArtagnan1 votes

It's ok! What's important is that you tried to come back and finish the game :)

Only Play Darius1 votes

Game 3 was fun. I'm a pretty bad player and I haven't played Garen in a while, so I made some bad calls but I did my best. Our ADC disconnected but it was fun having my game streamed. Ty Riot support!

RiotdArtagnan1 votes

I'm glad that you still had a lot of fun! ^.^

And don't worry, your Garen wasn't bad at all!

Only Play Darius1 votes

Aww, ty!

Keisto1 votes

Don't undersell yourself, the Garen worked out c:. Had a fun time playin' with ya!

Only Play Darius1 votes

TY so much. Means a lot coming from a plat, seeing as i'm a lowly bronze lol

Keisto1 votes

Believe it or not, there isn't too much of a difference between you and I. If you ever want tips or help or anything feel free to add me on League, I'd be more than happy.

RiotCaptnPanda1 votes

Thank you to everyone that hung out in the Twitch Chat with me. It was super fun and there were some awesome games today!
