Level 1 spam accounts potential solution?

Ever get those lvl 1 accounts that spam add you just to send you links?

I know they aren't the worst thing in the world since you can just ignore them, but I still find them annoying. They're always making me look them up just to check that it wasn't someone I played in a game the last time I was logged in. I was wondering if Riot could implement a restriction that doesn't allow you to send friend requests until summoner level 2 or 3. Allow them to still accept friend requests. Just don't allow them to send them. That could help limit the number of spamming bots that are out there without preventing new players from playing with friends who want to introduce them to League.

Just thought I'd throw my idea out there. Not sure if it's been stated before or not. I remember them restricting new accounts to bots for the first couple levels awhile back, so I don't think it would be that difficult to do.

tl;dr: Don't allow accounts to send friend requests until lvl 2 or 3. Allow lvl 1's to still accept friend requests.

Do we get that 400 RP reward at 3 too? It's kind of like a "thanks for playing a little, here's something you can do with your account now" kinda thing, so I figure whenever you get that RP reward, your account becomes unlocked, and you can now add or accept friend requests.

Riot, this please. Good idea.

The only downside is if you are just joining league with a bunch of friends. They would encounter a message like:

"To prevent abuse, friend requests cannot be sent until level 2."

It's only slightly annoying for a new player to deal with this so it could be worth it, since level 2 is so easy to reach.

Thanks. It just came to me after having to ignore 2 bot friend requests when I last logged in.

A more benign approach would be to prevent level 1 friend requests from being shown as notifications - you would then only know you had a friend request from these accounts if you intentionally checked in the View Notifications window.

Implying they would not just start botting the accounts through 1 or 2 AI games. Would take almost no effort.

If they just added captcha to log in it would probably help.

Too late. Bots have already started leveling to 10 by playing exclusively Dominion custom games.
