I don't disagree with you completely but there's just a few things I would like to add.
I don't believe it's fair that the enemy team wouldn't receive a win even if there's an afk on the enemy team, they were still stuck playing a match that took their time and effort to win even if it's a bit easier because an afk, and what if the team with the afk actually managed to win? Do they still receive the chance to get a win while if the other team did wouldn't receive anything? If not, then if the team with the afk won and didn't get anything that would be disappointing and I doubt that team would even try to play the match at that point.
I do believe they should add a loss prevention on series games because sometimes it's just not fair that an afk happens to you and lately it's not a lot of players fault directly, the client has been buggy as all hell causing players to not be able to connect, ping spikes, random freezing, etc. I really enjoyed some of the suggestions other community members made about this issue like the 10 minute surrender.
What bothers me a little more is that Dodging is considered a loss in your series, I really don't believe this should be happening at all ,I know the point of this is to avoid players dodging until they get a team they feel that could win the match for them but why force a player to stay with a team that might have an obvious troll in it? Since not all the players you get matched up with are doing their series some will just joke around in a match or take it less seriously. I barely see anything wrong will letting the player decide if they feel comfortable with a team to do a series match with them though I still would agree on the waiting time punishment for dodging and as a side not players do get bugged out yet again by the client lately and this causes them to be unable to pick champions or crashes when its loading into champ select which turns out to be a free loss on your series.
