The Honor Initiative

So...totally random, but I thought it sounded like a good idea. Riot has this whole honor initiative thing which we all know about and never use. (aside from being new to the game and really excited about it for some reason). What if Riot maybe just got rid of it? or what if...what if....they made it more prevalent by making it a follow up screen immediately after the game ends. So right after you win or lose, you are presented with everyone's summoner name and the option to honor or not to honor. Personally, I would rather just see it be gone, but Riot seems to insist that it stay. Why not make it more practical if its something they want to stay? Because honestly I think people just really don't care, or they have totally forgotten it even exists.

I haven't seen any kind of explanation so far as to how the honor system works. I can give friendly, helpful and teamwork points to others and sometimes receive them, but... so? Is there some explanation in the game that I missed? If not, then the system seems pretty useless.

It's not something that's designed to be spammed. You're supposed to honor only people who did something to deserve it that game.

Ya I know, but I guess my point was that yes, like you said, it should not be spammed. However, by the time you get to the end of match screen, most people are busy trash talking or looking at gold/damage dealt stats. "Honor" is hardly even an after thought. To me it seems like an unfinished concept that was just left in the game. Lol like the mini games in GTA. Ya its cool, but most people just play the campaign and then run around killing things. But ya idk I was literally just sitting here doing my circuits homework and this thought popped into my head. Totally random.

I disagree. Putting it next to the report button was a good call. I have someone worth reporting almost every single game, so once I do that I typically remember to honor someone.
