Can I get demoted to Bronze if I want to?

Hey guys,

Im still relatively new to league of legends, and that's why I was really hype about finishing my promos. I waited quite a while to do them (like 4-5 months) because I was hoping to get 'ready for ranked play' beforehand. Somehow I ended up winning 5 of 10 games in my promos, (mostly by being carried) and I was ecstatic when it gave me silver 4 as my ranking. However, I have as of now played 2 ranked games and both times I ended up feeding the enemy team and being flamed at. Silver doesn't really seam to be the place for me, and I don't think I'm good enough to be playing with these other guys. My question here, is whether or not I can demote myself to bronze? Or is it just impossible? Or should I just suck it up and play normals until next season...

And I'm just wondering: is there anyone else out there who has similar issues?

Well, if you want to be bronze, i'll tell ya a tried and proven method. Just play a ranked game. If you want mid, go mid, wait you say, there's already a mid laner! It doesn't matter! play mid anyway! Also, be very greedy, and chase everything that moves. Tower diving is a must, wait he has full health you say? Doesn't matter! charge in, make him die! One last thing, if you get upset, just quit. No biggy, you want to be bronze anyway.

I feel rito should start players in bronze because of this. No offense to you, but I lose games because of things like this :/

You'll be in Bronze hell soon enough. Only takes less than 10 games from Silver 4.

Don't feel discouraged. Ranked is a learning process, and you'll win and lose as necessary. The more you play with these guys the more used to their tricks you'll get. You can be demoted by losing lots of games, but i wouldn't actively try to demote yourself. Keep it up and try to learn as much as you can :)

Just keep playing and doing your best; you'll either get demoted naturally because you can't win enough, or you'll get better and realize you have earned your spot.

But don't try to get to Bronze on purpose. Your teammates will not enjoy you throwing your matches for one. Also, Bronze can be a very bad place for some, as that is where you'll find the most people who don't know what they are doing, and it could make it more difficult for you to learn or even enjoy the game.

First of all 2 games isn't a good sample size. Secondly, you will probably regret it you can get better outside for ranked and just return to silver.

its Very hard to demote. it can be done but it will take a lot of games. maybe hundreds. I don't know the exact rules but I have been to -100 lp before and not demoted. I think you have to have a certain number of games in a division before it will let you demote.
