Can Somebody Explain to me Why Twitch Can't Top?
To me twitch just seems like the ad version of Teemo (who is viable top) I understand that teemo's shrooms make him safer from ganks but good warding should keep you safe

In general, adc top lane doesn't work well because of the vulnerability to ganks.
The more I think about it, the more I think you might sorta be onto something here, these champions do do similar things. However, recognize that there are a TON of matchups top lane that teemo doesn't win and situations where teemo shouldn't be picked. The same would be true for Twitch.
Teemo works top because, like you said, his shrooms in ADDITION to wards allows teemo to stay safe top. He also has a move speed buff, and a disable to get him out of danger. Twitch isn't so lucky. His only ability to escape is tied to a steath with a delay when he takes damage, and other than that has no ability to disable his opponent aside from a small slow. Twitch passive is comparable to teemo's E, but again, because of his lack of any mobility, twitch is going to be hard pressed to survive ganks in that long top lane alone.
Between Teemo Shrooms and warding Teemo is able to stay very safe in top lane due to the slow and the minor vision that they technically grant. Teemo also carries an on demand speed boost for an escape, as well as a blind to mitigate the auto attacks.
Twitch doesn't have that advantage, He has no blind, his movement speed bump gets delayed by taking damage, he has no extra vision through the shrooms, and overall he's actually even more fragile.
I attempted a Twitch middle game back when there were a ton of ADCs being played in mid lane again, and it didn't work very well. I found this to be because of how fragile he is. He almost requires a good peeling support to protect him while he ramps up.
Overall the ADCs that found success in top lane are Teemo for the reasons mentioned above; Vayne due to high damage, self peel, and high mobility; and Quinn, whose got mobility, blind, high damage bursts, a free blue trinket on herself, and an ultimate that gives a shitload of mobility as well.
Too much Tank and not enough escape to be good basically.
