Are the new summoner icons linked to URF being open? (about gifting new icon)

As the title asks, I'm looking to buy the heartsplosion icon for my friend, whom I've made up with and recently re-friended after a long spat we had.

Unfortunately, that means I'd have to wait 2 weeks to buy her that icon and I'm worried URF will be gone by then (and by extension, the icon as well).

Any input or thoughts? :(

it would be awesome if it stayed with you in the normal games. im not too sure maybe a red can post on here for clarification, but i have a feeling like with the Poro icons its probably linked with that mode!

D: So is there any possible way to get her the icon with the RP I have before URF is gone?
