Anybody else wonder what goes through Riots mind?

Quick question, who that plays league, actually thinks that The Poro King is a good game? Anybody else wonder why in hell Riot would pick The Poro King to play all winter? I mean I could probably guess why they would, "It's winter and The Poro King is snowy." They could easily just pick another game for the weekend and add some snow on the ground just like when you play norms or ranks in the winter, alas, we are stuck playing this shitty game for a month because they think it's a good idea. It's not Riot, it's not. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Yea I don't know why but I was under this impression that they were going to cycle through the modes some, not just put poro king on and off, suspiciously in tandem with their little spending incentive sprees...

The problem is the new client from what I understand. Every map and item needs to be moved over and tested on it before they can use it in a live game. Summoner's Rift and Twisted Treeline stuff got tested and approved first for obvious reasons. After that the specialty game modes have been going through the process. There was only time to make sure one was 100% before the end of the year so Poro King was chosen because of the holidays. Expect the other special modes to be released slowly in the early part of 2017 as they complete their adaption and testing.
