LoL and other moba's compared

Hello Everyone. My name is Jestrox and I'm working on a summer school project for my university. It's about comparing how Leage of Legend is doing compared to other games like Dota and Heroes of the Storm in popularity, and from that how it's community infuelnces the changis to the game, how the creators of the game treat it's community, and how they try to get more and more player. I palyed all of these games and read a lot of about it on diffferent forums, and I have my own opinion, but for these I need your opinions too, and of course the knowledge and experience(gameplay experience, bug reports and fixes, i mean it takes long to fix or not ) of the player base, since as far as I know Hots is a new game compared to lol, and I'm not sure how moba games player base is changing, what are the factors that makes a new game charming or, just gives you the opinion of "I will never play with this" .
