My back has been making it difficult to play League of Legends.

For about 2 years my back has been pretty messed up but lately it has been getting out of hand. I used to play a good amount of League every night and be content with my time spent in game.

Lately its been getting rough to bring myself to play a game because of how much my back has been hurting. My friends could be playing solo queue or any other game and they will ask me what i'm doing and if I wanted to play and all I can respond with is "nothing" because I can't bring myself to do anything. I feel bad because I want to play games with them but I just can't as often as I would like to.

So lately I have started going to the chiropractor monthly (may have to be going more if it gets worse). What I was wondering is if there was any recommendations anybody has on what to do. Whether it's something to do with using a certain chair or something to keep my back straight. Just whatever you think could help me I would really appreciate it.

Posture is key, sit with your back straight, knees bent, feet on the ground, eyes straight ahead at your monitor, if you have to move it to an elevated position, use a box or something, but it's hard on your neck to be looking up or down and does eventually have an effect on your back, and have a decent chair, don't go and get one of those phony poofy "your satisfaction guaranteed or your money back" chairs, you likely need a really nice chair with cushioning and support for your lower to mid back.

A lot of gaming chairs are rip offs aswell, i suggest going to some kind of furniture store, where they have chairs on display, and trying a bunch till you find one with decent back support for mid to lower, as that is usually the problem causer right there.

So, good posture, and a good chair with low and mid back support, if anything, maybe use a pillow, and put a heating pad on the pillow for your back.

Hopefully some of this will help, i personally don't have back issues (thanks to an accident that pinched a nerve, so i don't really feel much in my back anyway xD) but my dad who broke his back roughly 10 years ago had to get a nice chair, with lots of lower and mid back support, plus he also used a heating pad and a pillow on Raid nights to help him through it, hopefully if you use all of the above, you will be able to play longer!

GL!

I don't know about a messed up back as much, but if your back is sore and achey then there are heat packs like this: http://www.backnobber-store.com/pics/venture-heated-clothing/venture-heat-battery-heated-back-wrap.VHSH-55.1._raw.jpg

Certain ones can be microwaved for 1-2 minutes and help relax your back for quite a while. Shaped ones supposedly help posture but I just have a very basic one. They stay warm for hours and last just about forever. I use them whenever I have a sore back and I know my step mom (who has a damaged back from roller derby) also uses them quite often.

I can't tell if this is serious or talking about the cancers of solo queue

Don't cheap out on a chair. It may also help to get a desk you can raise high enough to be able to switch between sitting and standing.

And to be honest, I do not have a lot of faith in chiropractors. I personally lump them in the same category as homeopathy and acupuncture.

Have you ever been to a hosipital or general practitioner?
