I agree to a point. I would prefer "Don't Tilt! You can still win 95% of the time." And here's why:
Regarding the video, yeah, if you're 50 minutes into the game anything can happen. Besides, why surrender if the game is probably gonna end in 3 minutes anyways.
If it's 15-20 minutes in though, it's more complicated. If you're losing lane, maybe the other lanes can carry while you farm up. Maybe your team is naturally stronger late game, if you can make it that far. If none of your lanes are winning, but you are holding your towers well, maybe you can stall until the enemy pushes a little to hard and makes a mistake. Don't be a pussy and play those games out at least a little longer.
But if you're 15 minutes into the game and all lanes have lost and you're already down 3-4 towers and 2 dragons, then there's really not much point in fighting it out for another 10 minutes while the enemy snowballs into your nexus. From that point the enemy can just play safe, taking only the easiest and safest objectives and kills, and still get farther and farther ahead. I mean maybe you can turn that shit around in Bronze/Silver, but in Plat+ people don't throw hard enough to lose that big of an advantage. Unless you're hoping for a d/c, I guess.
Unless you're in Bronze where anything can happen, or you're in Challenger where every win is crucial, there is a point where surrendering is okay. A point where it's just not worth suffering for another 15 minutes, because you only have a 2% chance of success left.
(And tbh it's kinda frustrating when people don't recognize that point, but I'll keep playing if the surrender vote fails; maybe I'm wrong about how far behind we are...)
