Why didn't I get a mystery champ?

When the facebook friend thing was first launched, I added a couple friends from facebook so that I could get the IP boost reward. I got the reward, but I ended up removing them a few days later because we never played together. But I know that I was connected, because I had people add me! I was one a vacation when everything was happening on League. But I know I'm connected to facebook. I got my pool party zac icon, and I know I got points because I had gifted a friend of mine for his birthday. Am I just inpatient, or is there an actual issue here?
