The horrible part of being a high elo player

When you go into normals with a team of your friends who are lower ranked, which results in you going against lower ranked players, they will mock you and say how dumb you are for dying to them. Then proceed to ask if you elo boosted This has happened so many times and even on boards I have people tell me my points are invalid because I'm high elo Why? Aren't we all humans first? :( Edit: thanks for cheering me up and helping me understand how to deal with this and why people do it, I guess not all lower elo are really rude to higher elo ^^

My Duo Que and I were playing around and he was having a drinking game with his friend..

Yea.. before I knew it all the provisional were over and He didn't even remember doing ranked that night.. I did it because he offered to duo and i hate going alone soo why not?

I do regret getting placed in bronze, but I don't regret that night at all! OMG! He was soo funny and he raged at everyone We were in a call and I'm just chuckling at his drunken rampage.. Gragas

Last season I won 8 out of 10 and ended up bronze 1 and this season I went 7/3 and ended up bronze 2, so, you are wrong. I also ended both previous seasons before said provisionals not in bronze and I'm currently not in bronze (pretty easy to climb out, but provisionals are pretty bassackwards), so this is false.

Thats' because u already had a rank. I'm talking about your first season playing ranked. If you were silver your mmr is already pretty low,so losing any amount would just fuck it over to bronze.

no its 9-10 wins for gold 3 wins+ for silver 0-2 for bronze. It's rly easy not to get bronze. Idk how people do it

No... The first season you ever do rank the highest is Gold 5. It's already been proven. I don't know if you meant the soft reset on each season.. But ya gotta read man

Do a google search. 98% of the results will say Gold V for 10/10 Unless you somehow are getting matched with challenger players and win 5 games out of 10 on your first season, the highest u can get is gold V from 10 wins. This is because i believe u start at a silver MMR before you start ranked.

How are you going to get matched with challenger players if you start at a Silver MMR? Do you even have a brain? Theres no way someone at challenger has a silver MMR because they easily get demoted from one or two losses.

It's simply based on hidden mmr. So really the games have a good impact but do not 100percent affect it. This is why you have such variance between placements and the same number of wins for people.

Silver, silver 3 specifically. There's as many people from b5 to s4 than from s2 to challenjour. For example, being silver 5 myself, I'm not necessarily more below average than a plat 5 is above average.

Everyone makes mistakes, even in LCS mistakes are made. However sometimes you just want to have fun in a normals, It isn't his fault his friends are still learning the game. I have had this experience just being in gold 4 playing against people in silver. It was almost funny though because a few member of the enemy team seemed genuinely upset at them beating us.

But seriously though always remember:

I may have beaten the diamond player in lane but they:

might be playing one of their worse roles
Might just be having an off game
Might just not be really trying that hard

Except for that one time I won a 4v5 playing ap bard mid against a diamond veigar because of mid laner never showed up. I got first blood with coin and a couple of pots then proceeded to solo kill him again and set up several ganks for our jugnler. That just shouldn't have happened.

While I 100% agree with your point (I have high ranked friends that deal with the same issues), I'd feel bad if you weren't in multiple threads talking down to players in lower elos simply for being in lower elos. You may not think you do it, but you've done it enough that I recognize your name as someone who has done it in at least 2 previous threads I was in.

I have this issue as well and I am only plat.

I play normals with my unranked/bronze friends as a 5 man premade. One friend in particular likes to support me if I adc. adc is my worst role and if we don't stomp in lane I get asked how much it costs to boost to plat. One match they talked so much shit I told them I would make a custom, invite all of them and then play my main role and show them why I am plat. They were all mid silver/ low gold against me and my bronze/unranked friends. I picked jungle, my main role, and hold nothing back and win in less than 20 minutes. They didn't even get to surrender.

I do not enjoy doing that though. I play normals because I want to have fun with my friends and not have to try hard but when people do nothing but talk shit and say you are boosted over and over it is hard to not want to show them why they are stuck in low elo.

I once faced off against a Heimerdinger (who was Platinum) when I was also Heimerdinger, and I was Silver at the time.

I beat him 3/1 in lane and got his tower, winning lane, and I felt proud. I said to my friend (who was also Platinum), "I actually did good against a Platinum when we both played teh same champ. I feel good, man!" He replied, "Dude, I hate it when low elos brag about beating higher elos in normals." We haven't played together since.

Just because people are higher elo, it doesn't mean they get to automatically act superior all the time. It's disgusting. They also don't need to take offense when someone is generally happy about doing good against another, as long as they don't actually offend the other with petty insults. I rarely see people go "for a higher elo guy, you suck hard" on the enemy team. In truth, I actually see more of that on my own team when a team member happens to do badly.

Well when i beat a plat who didn't even know that item 3102 bubble can be seen by enemy team and can cancel out CC, it makes me wonder sometimes because that actually happened.
