Lunar Revel Shop (and Snow Down) Feedback
With the second personalized shop released I thought it might be time for some feedback.
I like the concept but for some players the accuracy of the items seems rather lackluster (for me this was the second shop where all the offers didn't hit their mark, while ironically the bugged version of the Snow down shop first introduced that had default offers had higher accuracy). So hopefully this thread can add some discussion and feedback helping fine tune the system to catch those customer groups that fly under the radar currently.
Some feedback I believe would help up the accuracy of the shop;
**1. ** Don't reintroduce the same skins in the next personalized shop as the previous one.
I got the same offer again this time around (perhaps due to that I haven't played that much since last time). If I didn't want it the first time I likely won't want it the second time around.
**2. ** Weight the chosen role of the champion higher than champion labels.
Some context: I play quite a lot of Tahm and I prefer to play him in the jungle, however I've got a sneaky suspicion that the system currently reads that I like tanky supports, not tanky junglers, due to Tahms champion labels and not where I play him.
**2. ** Weight what the player chooses/prefers to play higher than what the player gets to play.
While this might have been an almost impossible task until dynamic que I believe the new champ select might help here making it possible to weight your primary role higher. Again some context: I generally fill when I play, I find that it leads to smoother games with less arguing/discontent, this has lead to me playing quite a lot of support. While my personal preference would rank other roles higher, this doesn't really show in the system and I'm getting a lot of offers for supports in my shop, making it almost feel punishing to fill games.
4. Look into customers buying patterns, what's the amount of skins they generally buy for each champion.
I like skins, but I generally only get the skin I like the most for each champion, making offers for secondary skins highly likely to be redundant. In both shops now I've gotten a offer for the same skin for a champion I generally don't play but the champion is one of the champions I bought a skin for recently, so the shop seems to believe I really want to buy more skins for that champion even though I hardly play it.
I realize that this might be an iffy one for many players since they might want multiple skins for their main/mains, but I'm not saying that it should be impossible to get offers for champions you previously bought skins for, or even unlikely. Just that the shop should weight more in consideration to how much you play the champion and not offer skins primarily on the basis that you bought a skin previously for the champion when it's a champion that isn't played much.
5. Look into customers buying patterns, are there any particular skin series that seems popular with the player?
I have a few skin series/themes that I like and generally get, but with these shops it seems they're flying past the radar so I suspect they're lacking a way to determine what kind of skins the player usually buys and currently base it entirely on what role/champion you play.
