Just thought this would be an interesting point of discussion.
Personally, i completely buy it, the evidence is overwhelming imo.
After reading the lore of both champions, i would say zed and nocturne are linked in at least a minor way, both being a master of shadows or "darkness". The most interesting thing i think is at the end of nocturnes lore, is zed perhaps the dreamer/creator of nocturne rather than zed eventually becoming nocturne?
Or the splash arts could have been made by the same artist, look at bloodstone taric and then default skin darius, ermagherd must be related
Does this mean they are gonna buff Nocturne and make him use Energy instead of mana? :D
Now if only they were the same role, I'd believe it. Like if they were both Jungl---

The snow zed/noct splash overlay seems too similar to not be intentional.
If this is not a deliberate link, this has to be one of those zomg wowz mind=blown community lore suggestions that riot has to do
When you pick nocturne in champ select he says " Embrace the Darkness " And in game zed says " Embrace the shadows or Die in Darkness " So this convinces me(after reading the reddit and lore) that nocturne is a part of zed..... or he is actually zed.
