My friend sucks

So i have a good friend and we play league together. Thing is I HATE PLAYING with him... were on completely different skill levels (hes the guy who builds full damage jax and aatrox and split pushes a lane that lost all outer towers) and it feels so pointless when ever i play with him. Im gold and hes bronze and the thing that irks me the most is that he thinks were on even skill levels and he just got screwed over by match ranking. When ever i give him some advice he just rebuts it and we end up arguing for most of the time. Hes kinda a sensitive guy tho and i dont know how to tell him i dont want to play with him for a while untill he starts to understand the game alot more.

just play norms with him from time to time and go do your thing in rank...

i started playing this game cuz my friend/roommate got me into it. he cared about rank made it to gold... i never truly cared or tried in rank (playing only 15 games rank season 5, none season 6) but i got placed silver and had a 60% win rate. we would play normals and have fun... that is what it is about. also he was a mid main... and got gold playing mid... i dont care for mid lane and never play it... but i was always a better top laner, support then he was. even with him being gold rank .

Tell him you don't play duo ranked anymore just solo. If he whines, grow a pair and tell him you'd rather play ranked alone. If he whines some more unfriend him and when he asks in person why tell him it's cause he was whining rather than taking advice on how to get better. If it really comes down to it 1v1 the sucker and tell him if he loses you wont queue with him until he can win.
