League of legends has been a huge part of my life ever since I started playing 2 years ago in season 6. I have met some great friends, have formed many great and exciting memories, and had discovered my favorite game. Some of my friends quit, and moved on and went to do other things in life. But when they did I continued to get more and more attached to the game. I really did love the game. And I started to get very competitive after seeing lcs and high elo players doing cool things and being praised for be so good at the game. And I really wanted that, and I got to the point where when I wouldn't win I would get very angry and I became, toxic. I continued to play and try to get better at the game, and all last school year my addiction to league really got above my school work, my social life, even my own health. But I ignored it because I just loved the game too much. Reports caught up to me, and after ignoring the chat restricts I got a 14 day ban. I went on my smurf and really tried to re think my ways, and when I came back to the game on my main I was a much more positive play. I was being honored for friendly, I was winning more games, I was even playing better. But one game, I just lost it. I had an int feeding karthus mid and I flamed him. It made me very upset and I thought that since he was int feeding it was okay to flame him in the heat of the moment. But after the game ended I quickly realized it was a bad decision and a mistake. After about 5 minutes I got the notification that my account had been perma banned. I was pretty sad that everything was gone. But I know it was deserved. And the ban will increase the experience for other players on the rift. I should've stopped then. But I just couldn't let the game go. I went on my smurf and I have been playing on that so much and the game is really consuming my life. I've realized that me climbing is basically pointless as the game is more frustrating than fun anymore, and with school coming up soon I can't have something in the way of my school work. I have decided to quit league of legends. I thank everyone for being a great community that gave me many hours of fun and an experience I'll never forget.
