Hi, I am writing to purpose creating a skin or character dedicated to Christina Grimmie. She was a singer, youtuber, twitch streamer and summoner that was killed June 10th. I wanted to see about doing something in her memory and this was my favorite thought and i was hoping to find out if it was a possibility.
No. This would send a message that famous people are more important to Riot than the average player, which is kind of messed up. There are many league players who have died due to unfortunate events, don't get me wrong what happened to Grimmie is devastating, but if this happened to some random nobody would care one bit. Also it's just a bad idea.
You guys shouldn't be down voting this it's disrespectful.
That said, I don't think they should make a skin for her unless it's to help cover funeral costs or some charitable thing. They could do one for the families of the orlando victims too. Acts of charity aren't mutually exclusive.
They didn't even do anything like this when one of their own died though so I don't expect them to start now.
She deserves to be remembered through a tribute like this.
Her death was a tragedy that must be remembered.
She loved the Legend of Zelda franchise as well as this game franchise as well.
Her legacy must live on in the future and I hope Riot games does do something to remember her.
This skin or character's proceeds should go to a charitable cause that Christina would of supported.
