A lot happens in a week - interesting discussions constantly pop up throughout the League ecosystem only to be replaced by the newest hotness and fall out of visibility. Hot topics of discussion don’t always stay that way for very long, so unless you’re on top of it all day every day (and who has time for that when there’s a ranked ladder to climb?), it’s easy to miss a lot.
As we mentioned in our test post, with this in mind we'd like to try out a weekly post featuring some interesting conversations you may have missed as well as upcoming discussions opportunities.

After a week with the new Champion Mastery feature, there’s been conversation around how the grading system works and what it tells you about your gameplay.
Ekko has a dark mysterious past future
We revealed the time-shattering champ via a teaser and detailed his kit in a LoL.com post. Lots of discussion about his abilities and how to best play him (protip for those trying to jungle him: you’re only hurting yourselves).
Potential intensifies
Lots of chatter about big changes in CLG’s roster: Link has stepped down, while Pobelter and HuHi have both joined as the team’s new mid-laners to create an interchangeable lineup.
Saintvicious announced his retirement
He will be missed… just like his smites.
Dyrus and Dexter AMAs
Dyrus hosted an AMA after a rough week at MSI, and Dexter hosted one after an announcement that he’d be part of Elements’ Summer Split roster.
Ryze Update
Folks discussed whether updated Ryze’s noticeably lower winrate is due to lack of power or just the usual learning curve -- Meddler offered his take.
Amberly be so gentlemanly
Challenger streamer Amberly (remorsefully) admitted and apologized for masquerading as a girl to boost his popularity and donations (which he’s returned!), then shared lessons learned and answered questions.
Is it that time of year?
Various threads sprang up in response to news of some tentative Karma changes being tested internally, mostly centered around their potential for affecting her possible role / lane choices.

Hot on the heels of the “why people hate the new meta” thread in last week’s MITL, some interesting flipside discussion on what’s to like about it (spoiler: the teamfighting).
All eyes Zaun lore (sorry not sorry)
CupcakeTrap had a lot of in-depth stuff to say about what Ekko might mean for Zaun’s wider backstory, with (non-narrative) Rioter Bioluminescence and tons of players chiming in with their perspectives. I understood some of it.
Ekko isn’t the only new champion
