Do permabanned accounts take up alot of space?

I'm just wondering. I know permabanned accounts make up a REALLY small amount of the community, but it bothers me. The accounts are basically worthless right? I think riot should save as much space as they can on the servers. It maybe a small amount, but every bit counts right? I don't know just something i wanted to bring up

I actually delete all my permabanned accounts so I can re-use the e-mail address for my new accounts.

The fact that you said "permabanned account(s)", plural, concerns me.

Only cost $200 to get my champs and full rune pages back. This K54 account if also permabanned, deletion finalizes in about a week or two, then you'll see Talon Wukong (the name I used on my plat/diamond account) pop up under this e-mail address once it's out of RIOT's system completely. I might go back to K54 though, made a lot more friends in bronze than I did in gold/plat/diamond combined. Win or lose, playing with friends is better.

Problem is when friends aren't online and I forced to play with fucking trolls and noobs with absolutely no understanding of how the game works. Then I become verbally toxic.

My next account will probably be permabanned, too. When that happens, I'll have another $200 ready.

Doesn't seem economical, but it's not my money lol.

(Not sure if you are aware of the kinda funny IT joke you made, but haha! ... I'm a nerd ...)

I am pretty sure that the servers the game instances use are more effected by ping between people actually in the game and number of games active, rather than the number of accounts in storage (useable or not).

Permabans can be reversed I believe. Can you imagine if they just deleted them, but someone proved they were innocent but 'oops, we deleted your account to make space!'

I think there is a way around that issue. Say an account was permabanned and the name of that account is ''Bob the kitty destroyer'' and someone else wants that name, I think its only fait that permabanned accounts get removed from existence past a certain timeline, say 6 months.

Or else, we get a cluster of unusable names over the years.

I had a level 10 smurf that I was prompted to change the username upon logging back in after a few months. I can only assume they petitioned for the username and it was given because there had been no play for a while.

So they definitely do free up usernames, at least if someone asks for it.
