Free Champion

So I'm new to League of Legends but today I was playing blind pick 5v5 and was playing Lux. I thought she was on free champion rotation but then i checked and she wasn't there. I also checked my collection and saw that I didn't own Lux either. Then later I was playing with my friend and then Lux didn't show up in the champion selection. Also I was able to play Yasuo as the free champion rotation but on the website it says this week's free champions don't include Yasuo. Is this a glitch or can only my first couple of games be played with Lux or something else?

You get a newbie champ rotation from levels 1-6 Once you hit 6, you get the free champion rotation when you click "Free Champion Rotation" on the home page of the League client, and it stays that way. You won't get free champion rotation in ranked games.

levels 1-5 have a different set of free champs for new players, once you hit level 6 you lose those champs and start using the official free week champs.
