I (bronze) play better against plat than I do bronze

I made a diamond friend in a custom game and I played with him and his friends. They're all diamond/plat so I thought I would end up feeding. I won lane all three games and had a much bigger impact on fights than I usually have. The three matches were vlad into xin top (xin counters vlad), vlad into Lee top, and mundo into ww top, and I won lane all three lanes with few ganks. I was wondering why this is because I personally found it so much more enjoyable and right to play agaisnt gold/plat than bronze
