I'm tired of the Bronze discrimination.

Hi, I'm a bronze 2 player, and I'm fucking tired of being picked on just because my rank is lower than yours. It is indeed true that some Bronze players aren't that great, but for fuck's sake, not all of them are bad. Being called a bronzie during the entire game when you're not complaining about anything, insulting teammates, or just in general definitely isn't fun. It's really mean and pretty much demonstrates that you're a real dick on League. The rank doesn't matter when you're playing normals, you're here to practice or play for fun.

Tl;dr: People are dicks to bronze players and need to stop picking on them.

Mocking someone for being a certain rank or for any other reason is toxic behavior. There is absolutely no reason for you to mock anyone, regardless of their status. If someone is too ignorant to accept help or advice, that is a personality flaw that they will have to deal with for the rest of their life. However, it does not give you the right to belittle or target said people.

It boils down to the fact that people get enjoyment from pointing out their own superiority, whether or not it is actually true. It is a childish impulse that cannot be corrected unless you brainwash all players to be kind and helpful.

The people who use bronze as an insult will not care that you want to be treated as a human being instead of a scrub. They need to stroke their egos by putting down someone else. Just ignore them, since that's about the only way you can get these people to shut up.

I do mock Bronze players sometimes. But, only after I have suggested they do something to improve their game, and they call me a noob and yell at me. That is the sign of someone who will be bronze for life - I don't make fun of Bronze on principle, I make fun of Bronze players who refuse to get better.

Whenever i hear that "Bronzie" garbage i honestly just roll my eyes and feel pride that I'm no longer that age.

The rank system symbolizes the social ladder of today. The poor and homeless are always looked down on or mocked.(basically bronze and Silver) The middle class are basically (gold and Plat), while high class is (diamond and up). People will always look down on the poor and the homeless, but there are some people who will try to help them get back on their feet. Some poor or homeless people are just stubborn and don't listen to other people's advice or accept help when needed.

I can sort of feel you. I was in bronze (I) last season and got up to silver (II) in season four. I get insulted by my friends in gold for being silver noob occasionally. The thing you have to be able to distinguish is the difference between someone insulting you vs someone who calls behavior "bronze". It is a pretty subtle difference. If someone says something like "stop sucking bronze ****," then yes its pure toxicity and should be reported if it gets out of hand. I don't think there is anything wrong with describing "bronze play" though. I do not mean to offend you, but the common stereotypes people associate with "bronzies" exist. There is very little teamwork sometimes, only the support wards, low cs & map awareness, and poor focus in general. I was there last year and it definitely exists! The worst thing about bronze though was the attitude though. God everyone was always so negative..I was really relieved when I got out. When you say that you can't carry your way through bronze because of other players faults (I hear this comment ALL the time) you probably should stick in bronze. If you get an afk...yes it is unfair, but not impossible to win. Take advantage enemy deaths, spend extra $ on wards, etc. Even as support, if my adc is doing really bad to the point that his damage output is negligible, then I will go where my utility is needed more. I have won MANY matches were I do this and protect the fed mid/top/jungle. You can get out! The difference between bronze is silver is small. Slightly better mechanics, cs, vision, focus, and peel. Other than that they are essentially the same! Good luck

I don't really pick on Bronze/Silver tier people, it's stupid to.

I will, however, point it out when they get all know-it-all and begin arguing things about balance and using their opinions as facts because, as much as they hate to admit it, if they are at Bronze tier chances are they don't really know the game that well.

balbraaksel11/28/2014, 10:11:29 PM7 votes

Well if you're in bronze and you're not significantly better than your teammembers and opponents then it can take a long time to get out of bronze even if you don't deserve to be there. I'm one of those people that doesn't like ranked because of the horrible mistakes made there, EUW silver league still frequently has players that just skip building a Void Staff/Last Whisper as a AP/AD carry against a team with multiple tanks. That's so pathetically helpless. Once one bought a SECOND Inifinity Edge because he thought 100% critical strike chance is better than a Last Whisper while the opponent had 3 tanks. W T F And yes that was in silver league.

SwainDaRokJensen11/29/2014, 4:50:31 PM7 votes

You are right that Normals are there to practice/have fun. so it's funny when i go into a normal (I'm plat3 atm) and randoms look me up and then expect me to carry the game as if im playing my main champs/role, when im probably playing my worst so that i can practice it.

Jimmyyy11/29/2014, 5:54:00 PM7 votes

Another problem is that people recognize that you are bronze, call you a bronzie, and tell you to kill yourself because you "suck more at league than my mum" If I wanted to kill myself, I would climb up your ego and jump down to your IQ level. Now get a life, you platinum league no-lifer.

eyes wide shut11/28/2014, 7:51:41 PM7 votes

If you don't like being discriminated for your bronze rank, improve it. That's about the only thing that will stop people from calling you a bronzie, because, well you are a bronzie. I mean, that's like a cat getting pissed at you for calling it a fucking cat.

Entumba11/29/2014, 7:14:03 AM7 votes

Am I the only one who plays league that intentionally avoids ranking out of Bronze? I could get to Silver, but what's the point. Maybe I could get to Gold, but all of the metal tiers are generally bad players anyway. If you aren't in Diamond or higher you are really just, meh.

I would rather massacre a game in team builder and have the enemy team screaming at me for being on a Bronze 'smurf' than almost any other experience in League. Who wants to just be another gold among the ten's of thousands who is just halfway decent? How is that fun?

Also, god, do you know how much time it takes to rank up from Bronze to Platinum? Being in Platinum or higher is a statement I would never want to make about myself. That level of obsession and single-minded avoidance of anything but this computer game is sick - unless it is paying the bills somehow.

Stay in Bronze. Be happy in Bronze. Screw what anyone else thinks. Use the IGNORE button -- a lot. The community is no different anywhere at any level. Watch Scarra and Nightblue and see the teammates they get paired with. It is pretty absurd, really.

I honestly laugh when a silver player calls a bronze player bad because silver is still a trash rank

these are the type of people i discriminate against

Surakai11/28/2014, 8:01:23 PM7 votes

OP is liberal as fuck. you are trying to force equality where it has no right being. quite honestly, true equality doesn't exist anywhere. when you can compare two similar things, one is always going to be better than the other, but ofc, the inferior are going to get all emotional and cry about equal rights anyways.

btw, all bronzies are bad at the game, not "some".

Junkο11/29/2014, 8:46:24 AM6 votes

I'm silver 3 on this acc and it's exactly the same shit as in Bronze.

Nasus died once and then rage quit and decided to troll, go bot and feed, etc...

There is a thing called the MUTE BUTTON. Condescending players don't stop even after Bronze.

727PP11/29/2014, 5:23:30 PM5 votes

Agreed. Stigma of ranks in this game are too prevalent. Being able to sit down and have one fun game of norms without stress is impossible nowadays

HexSketch11/29/2014, 6:22:55 AM4 votes

this is kinda funny, i say kinda but as i keep typing it makes me laugh more and more rofl, if i go into an aram or a normal and i get gold or plat players on my team and i end up feeding or getting killed a lot by some random silver-plat player all i get told is how bad i am and so one and so forth and i just laugh because its kinda funny. why are you upset at the fact that people are joking on you fro being bronze, weather they joke or not the truth remains that you are currently bronze and a person talking down on you should make you want to improve and push you to better your sitiuation.

you want people to stop? do something about it, play more, study more, practice more, i dont really care if you "think" your a good player, the fact is you may be good but obviously not good enough, so work on it, dont complain because people make fun of you. you can think about it in terms of highschool and weight if u want, where as challenger players are the fit good looking, in shape, healthy, guys and gals, that everyone wants to be friends with, then as you go further and further down the ladder you get down to where bronze would be your morbidly obese, people who dont have good hygene and dont take good care of themselves and know theres a problem but refuse to go through the hard work because their really lazy and would rather eat Twinkies, watch t.v, and play league of legends. They dont want people telling them how overly fatty they are and get upset that people make fun of them, they have the option to get themselves out of the predicament but instead they complain and cry calling everyone else assholes(which may be true but irrelevant).

just tell yourself, i dont wanna be an obese, unhealthy fatty, i wanna eat vegis, work out, lose weight, and ultimately fell better about myself not because everyone views me poorly, but because i wanna feel better about who i am!

Windfallen11/29/2014, 1:02:03 AM4 votes

Come to tinfoil hat division! (Silver) It's WAYYYY better!

Gwellaouen11/29/2014, 3:04:17 AM4 votes

I don't think if I want to get really good at this game. It's an hobby for me and I have other things to do in my life.

So, I don't have good mechanics. Tough, I know the game very well: wards etc, I fall behing when it comes to make good plays because of my poor talent with keyboards. Maybe, I miss coordination. Dunno.

Maybe if I play more, it will get better. Of course. But I cannot play all day long. It's impossible for me.

So, I try my best and have fun. ^^

Tsukuy0m111/29/2014, 11:46:22 PM4 votes

i laugh when a silver player mocks a bronze player. for example a silver 4 makes fun of bronze 2. they are both basically same tier. silver is as bad as bronze. anyone gold 3 and under should not call themselves better than bronze.

AdgharKH11/29/2014, 9:33:25 AM3 votes

Challengers? More like challengeherps

Diamonds? More like die-moaners

Platinum? More like Blahtinum

warpenguin55511/29/2014, 6:01:59 PM3 votes

if you use bronzie as an insult your bad anyways. just let them, and remind them that not everybody is boosting/being carried out like they were

Kitten Eater11/30/2014, 12:52:02 AM3 votes

As a bronze, silver and gold. I beat my fair share of plat/diamond/challenger players. There was several people who came out who say they play with their diamond/challenger friends and even though he's in a lower elo(silver) they pretty much play the same. With that said, i or him are not saying all bronze/silver level play well but there is quite a few that do. I remember this g1 guy smurfing in silver and saying give me mid, im a g1 smurf, freelo. i told him no because im not risking it. so he went top as akali and got FB. nice maybe he is good but after that, he just kept on dying an dying and feeding then his duo buddy started feeding and im like you guys are gold? I thought maybe he was trolling because he didnt get mid but I watched him play and he's trying really hard to get kills and snowball but he just wasnt good enough. Might I add that this G1 smurf was losing to a b3 darius?

Malix Farwin11/29/2014, 10:13:03 AM3 votes

I think i realized that people say that just to get a rise out of you when a silver 3 called me bronze(i am also silver). I dont play ranked but when people usually do that i just mute and move on, their trash talking shows they have nothing of value to say and if you mute them then maybe they will focus on the game instead of typing.
