Question about Draaaaven icon and Legendary skin

I was gifted a mystery skin and I got Demonblade Trynd, which is a legendary skin, so it snowballed into another skin. Do either I or the person who gifted me get the Draaaaven icon? Or do you have to gift/buy a legendary directly through the store, and not through a mystery gift?
