Was the drop rate for gems via chests lowered? I've spent over $100 this past week and didn't receive a single gem.

Gem rate has always been low. It costs beteeen $300 to $500 to get them gems for it unless you are really lucky. Hextech exclusive skins are some of the most expensive skins ever created.

I get that its hard, But 0 gems after 100$ seems like the rate was lowered even more

Gem drops have always been a pretty rare thing, as they were made for the exclusive skins after all. They didn't want them to be real easy to get sadly.

I own Hextech Annie and Soulstealer Vanye, spent around $150 to get Annie (from 10 gems) and only $20 to get Vayne (from a skin shard). How? Well it's actually because I own over 600+ skins already so the chances lower.
