Are these links just spam or are they viruses?

Hey,

I've seen a lot of comments on youtube that say something along the lines of "Hey, look at this (/watch youtube link) video! It helped me save money in LoL," etc. Sounds like one of those bullshit point generators that typically lead to your account getting hacked, but the link SHOULD BE to a youtube video due to the /watch link. Does anyone know if these are just spam links to get more views on their videos, or is this some new "RP generator" virus that uses a youtube link?
