PC build
So I was thinking what better place than to ask the internet my questions about building a PC.
Background: I know how to put pieces together and all but I'm not really familiar with specs and all. All I really know is higher numbers = good, but I don't know a baseline from good enough to overkill (something I'd kinda like to avoid).
So here's my problem, I kinda recklessly bought a motherboard (MSI Z97 Gaming 5) without looking what my current PC had. See I kinda sorta know what to look for in terms of what works but nothing beyond that, also I had a brother peer-pressure me into a processor I'm now stuck with (an i7-4790k).
So in my recklessness I didn't know that a network card might have to plug into a different interface, the one I have/had is too big an interface so now I have to buy a new one. This is one source of my problem... THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME TO ME! I don't want to pay too much for something that to me will accomplish the same thing as a cheap one (ignorance).
Now onto my graphics card(s). I have two GTX 460's SLIed together (or I think I did) and now, while it may be a bit premature, I would like to get an upgrade for them. But again, I can't really tell the difference between GTX 750 Ti from a 750 (not Ti) or to a 770, heck I'd be willing to go ATI if I had to. But for the future I'd like to buy a second so I could sli/xfire them (or three-way it, I do have the board!) While I don't only play League of Legends, I do play it a lot, but I would like to play other games and have them look nice and not notice that my room is 20 degrees warmer than thr rest of my house.
And since it'll help, my power supply is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153136 (or close enough to it). I want to play Planet Explorers, the Batman Arkham games, Dynasty warriors, LoL (obviously), Phantasy Star Online 2 (but this is a different beast entirely) and other games that i have that i don't remember. I want them to look and play nice! Oh and getting the power cables to everything along with sata cables is a bitch. since the case has hard drives right across from the gfx cards and the psu is on the bottom. not that this information is needed, i just felt like saying it.
Help me Obi-internet-kenobi you're my only hope!
