Is Riot actually going to do anything about elo boosting?

So i know Riot has said before that they will ban peope for elo boosting, yet I don't actually see anything done about this problem. Just got out of a game with 2 people who both literally said in chat that they were boosting a friends account. They were pretty much the main reason we lost. It ruins the game. I have no problem losing to people my skill if they outplay me. But, when people from plat and diamond are playing games in silver on their friends account it just makes the game stupid. They also knew, like me, that Riot is not actually going to do anything, and said that Riot doesn't actually care about the problem. Which seems to be more and more true. Except for a few high profile players, I have never heard of anyone getting banned for elo boosting. It would be great if people who literally admit to boosting would actually be banned. I know its hard to tell when someone is boosting, but if its this obvious its pretty sad that most likely nothing will be done about it.

Well ELO boosting is a bad thing yes, but with the Ranked System eventually the account that got boosted to say Diamond 1 from Silver 5, will eventually degrade to the rank they deserve to get to. Maybe they are a Diamond 1 skill level, or they will drop down to Bronze 5. No one knows, it's just a matter of playing. Plus High level players make smurfs all the time and make their rise through the ranks, would you suggest they shouldn't be allowed to do that because a Challenger, Diamond 1 player is rising through Gold? It has to happen people of High skill level have to go through all the other levels past their placements. I don't believe there is a lot Riot can do. They can ban if they want, but I don't see the point.

Well in my opinion elo boosting ruins the game for more people than smurfing does. With smurfing, it ruins the games for people until the smurf reaches a point similar to the main accounts skill level. But with elo boosting, it also then ruins the game for the people who actually earned there way to diamond or whatever and have a pretty much guranteed loss when the person that actually boosted the account starts playingon it

It's the exact same thing.... Smurfing would be worse by your logic. Smurf wins almost every game crushes the enemy team carries their team. Some lucky people get a win some unlucky ones get a loss. Boosters same thing. Then the boosted guy carries his team to a defeat and the other team to a win. Either way one side at every point in the elo system is going to get a loss and the other is going to get a win based on #randomluck on who they queue up with, eventually the #randomluck is actually a probability and that'll even out. Who knows maybe the booster will give you a loss on that accs way up and the actual player will feed and give you a win on your way up when you meet in the middle later on.

Do you have any idea how stupid those sentences are? I have no problem losing to people my skill? what do you mean your skill? if they're outplaying you they're better than you; If they're not, they're not......

Why would riot care about the problem..... there is no real way to monitor it every ip nowadays is dynamic... and as I already explained it will not greatly affect one single player at any elo, by mathematical laws of probability, if the person getting boosted is too bad for the elo they get boosted to they'll lose a large % of games and give lots of people free wins on their way back down to trashlo.
