How exactly is Ekko going to work?

I'm sure we're all well-aware that Riot is releasing a new champion (from the video Seconds that Riot released the other day) that can control time.

However, it's going to be confusing to try to even imagine what this champion can do before they officially announce him. It's also rumored that the champion is going to be named Ekko (also stated in the title of the video found on Youtube) which is most likely derived from the post made by Damaein.

I have some questions about this champion, however. First off, how is Ekko going to change time? Will he work like LeBlanc, where he can set a point in time on the map where it saves all of his stats, buffs (maybe because that would be OP if he could nearly infinitely have Baron buff), health, and all, and then be able to re-cast the ability to "go back in that point of time", (Of course, this isn't exactly like LeBlanc but Ekko would have a marker he can essentially teleport back to) or would he be able to place down some kind of "shrine" or something only he can step on to "load" his previous stats when making the mark? Or will it be just like Damaein said on his post?

Anyways, that's all I really wanted to ask about Ekko. In all, I'm extremely excited for this new champion joining the Rift.
