will i be stuck with this silver border until s7?
if i get to gold in the preseason, will my border change when s6 officially starts

Nope, you're stuck. Ranked rewards are only given for the rank you achieved at the end of the previous season, and those borders will stick all the way until the end of the next one. Any rank you gain during preseason will not change your rewards (it will affect your MMR though, so you can get better placement for 2016 if you move up).
