How to get ahead in Bronze 5 without help...

That was a joke.

It's actually completely up to chance how good your team is and has less to do with how good you are.

For instance if you get bad teams every game there is no way to get ahead no matter how good you are.

You can get 40 and 0 but if you team is feeding and aimlessly wandering the map there is no way to get ahead in Bronze 5 what with all the rage quitters and intent feeders.

How good you are has been irrelevant ever since Riot ruined Fiora's game play.

There is no longer a champ you can 1vs5 with when all 4 of your dummy teammates are dead as you 1vs5 at the nexus.

Thanks to Riot... This game now requires your team to also be good to get ahead.

If the cards aren't in your favor there is no way unless you have a friend who is good.

Have you seen people play Yasuo in Bronze? 1v5s easy.

As someone who's currently stuck in Bronze 2...

Bronze 5 is easy as hell to get out of. People don't upgrade wards down there, walk straight in to skillshots etc. I admit I'm guilty of the latter sometimes, but I try at least half of the time to get out of them, and that's been enough to get me up three tiers.

I've found the best traits to climb out of Bronze is to be likable and persuasive. Since Bronze is just a bunch of misfits you have to work at getting them to work together towards a common goal. You will not get everyone on board with you. But if you can get more people to act cohesively than the other team can, you have a greater chance of winning.

Stuff that works: Joking Admitting when you're wrong Forgiving them for their mistakes Pep-talks Showing them how to properly do something Predicting something happening but not gloating if you get it right Making an impressive play Not ridiculing someone for going off meta

You will still lose, but doing any of the above will improve your teammate's performance granted you yourself know what you are doing.

You're playing solo in flex que. What do you expect? Ranked solo/duo actually gives the most balanced matches in my experience.
