hey riot i just wanted to show you this because i played with a summoner who was extremely toxic in the post game chat and was probably the same during the in game chat. This person claimed to be a plat 1 smurf in promos for diamond but had zero self control and afkd in the base at lvl 6 and blamed his top laner (the person i was against). and i'd like to see this person punished for their actions
I left LoL a while ago to play other games, came back a while later and first game back I'm reminded of how toxic the community is here. Obviously the problem starts with the fact that this is free to play, therefore attracting all sorts of kids and teenagers alongside standard gamers (ie ones who wouldn't normally be playing a PC game). Now these kids/teens or even just messed up adults truly believe the aim of this game is to just run riot and say/do whatever you like. The thought of being able to ruin 30min - 1hour of 4 to 9 peoples time for these guys is absolute heaven.
Ive seen all sorts, and it just leads me to believe that these people are going to ruin our future, these people who can't even just behave and play a god damn game are supposed to be the ones looking afte our planet in the future, the ones who will be governing us, yet can't refrain from calling someone a F*G NOOB for not getting a cs.
I always imagine these guys sitting with a friend and telling them 'haha watch this' before typing something ridiculously childish or trolling in game then laughing their heads off because its just so hilarious.
I think what I am trying to get at is that the system here with banning toxic players etc is like a drop in the ocean, you cant get rid of 1 or 2 without another 10 signing up that day.
I've had the exact same thing this guy was telling me to hang myself the other day, because of a small argument on a game HANG MYSELF, why on earth would I do that? How would he feel if I did, I'm sure his tough online bravado suggests he wouldn't care but if you drove someone to take their life, it would destroy you, but these people, I can't quite grasp how they have the ability to say such things, something to make you laugh, I reported this guy but he is still playing, so in a nutshell, riot doesn't care that people are telling people o commit suicide because you have picked a champ they want to play.
