What is it about League of Legends that causes toxicity?

I don't quite understand exactly what it is. I wanted to get some different opinions from some of you on why it seems that LoL players are quick to be mean or angry.

I think it might be coz of 'em feelz of being powerless, trapped into the game with "bad" pplz and the lust for elo. First though

People get frustrated by their teammates doing things that they don't want them to do, such as feeding, building a champion differently from how they'd do it, or making decisions that they don't understand. Some of it also comes from natural elements within the game - it sucks to go 0/5 in lane since you just die every time you come back, and that feeds toxicity.

The key is to keep a good mindset and remember that it's just a game.

Competitive game.

Some want to win. Some want to have fun.

At least one person in just about every game is there just to enjoy themselves. While at least 1 person is there to win no matter the cost.

Riot's spending more time motivating their skin team instead of trying to bring out new game modes that separate the try-hards from the casuals. Of course there's ALWAYS going to be at LEAST one person who's too doped up on the meta to relax and have fun, but that's more on Riot's part for indirectly forcing the meta on people.

Ekko was a nice change considering he seems like he could go top/mid or jungle maybe even support(tho anybody can really support if you get a sighstone)

Take braum for example. He could be a really good top laner/duelist, but the way his kit/numbers look if you want to have a chance at actually doing something and not be roflstomped by that Riven (even if she isn't intentionally trying hard) just because her kit/numbers fit the role better.

Not being able to play a game the way you want to because it's so harshly forced on you is kinda suck esp for junglers which makes casuals have to play with tryhards. Casuals and Tryhards are like water and oil. They hate each other.

If I try to play say, veigar jungle just cause I enjoy the champion. I'll die constantly to monsters/enemy invades. Which means I can't play my fav champ (so to speak) because Riot's meta won't allow it.

Tl;Dr the Meta is the reason this game is toxic

It's the Internet, people have that animosity coupled with there being no real punishment people are going to act out! I mean because of that they can make new accounts and "troll" it's always going to be there. Nothing is going to stop it unless there was a way to stop making accounts in general. But of course they wouldn't do that since it would make new accounts difficult!

It's the pacing of the game. In other games like WoW(World of Warcraft), the pacing is much slower and therefore, mistakes are much more easily rectified whereas in League of Legends, the pacing is much much faster and any mistake is pretty much fatal to the end result of a game.

Blame the existence of internet and this game.
