A small akali change that i think would satiate most of the mains (including myself)
Just a small change to the passive, rather than having a cooldown make it a 2 hit passive that alternates between the two effects.
This would create an artificial 2 second cooldown per proc or 4 seconds per effect, but also give us an option to build around the passive if we wanted to play a more sustain based build (the reason i loved akali in the first place was i could 3v1 someone at no health if i dodge all their skill shots and heal through their autos, it was a rewarding risk reward playstyle) which also balances itself out as to reduce the cooldown you have to build attackspeed or a guinsoos, both items that you dont really see on akali, infact youd probably see guinsoos become core on her which would be an interesting paradigm shift to say the least because akali would go from bursty assassin to kind of bursty ap fighter with a side dressing of assassin, it would also allow us to bank an effect for alot longer than the time we are given atm and in theory would require even more counterplay as to proc the effect you would need to auto twice before engaging rather than auto, ult, q, and autoing again becuase your auto is up when you land.
This would still not be as good as the pure spell vamp we had before, but it would atleast be better than literally useless self healing.
Ultimately though i just want my "balance" theme back, i want building an ad item in my ap build to feel impactful, i want to be constantly skirting the line between life and death, health bar ping ponging back and forth because the enemy team is too stupid to cc me, thats the champion i loved, not this discount diana shit.
