A few things league should adopt from dota without becoming dota!

I as most players in league started off with dota. I absolutely love league and haven't thought twice about playing dota since starting off in league but I think there should be a couple things LOL should incorporate from dota.

First off the couriers. These things are great. You can buy from the shop and bring into lane to continue farming without having to go back and buy.

Second Penalties for dying. League offers almost no penalty for diving besides actually dying yourself where as in DOTA if you die you lose gold for dying which adds another element to think about when going for that dive.

Third are buybacks. I love the fact that you can buyback for a substantial amount of gold in DOTA. Too many times in recreational and professional play I have seen one stupid move cost a team a game because one person gets caught out and they cant with stand the 4v5. Buying back somewhat solves this because for a large amount gold you can eliminate your death timer and give it one more go, if you have the gold to do so. This also makes gold more valuable in those long games after you are fully built.

Fourth is denying. I love the fact in DOTA you can deny creeps. It offers another aspect of the game to separate the OK from the really good. Denying allows you to kill your own creep if its under half health denying the other team the gold if they actually killed it and a smaller amount of EXP is awarded for a denied creep as well. This adds another challenge to the laning phase of the game furthermore separating the great from the OK.

Fifth is the more complex creatures you can control and summon. In dota you can take control of creeps or summon creeps that can do bonus things. This is quite challenging since its harder to control multiple players at the same time but with an added .5 second stun or a slow or an aura or something it can be really beneficial and just a little complex then simply using CTRL click or whatever it is to control summoned units

Sixth is dodging. DOTA dodging or evading is a stat which I think is quite nice. It can be gained by buying items and would be a way to counter high dmg champions kinda of like a TEEMO blind but a stat you can buy on an item. Dodge can also be gained by using terrain advantage like standing on top of the hill in your base while the enemy is on the bottom of the hill trying to gain entry. These I think are neat ways to offer plays more survivability in LOL.

Finally windwalk. Everyone hates those damn invisible champions but it offers great utility in getting away or sneaking up on people. In DOTA you can buy an item to turn you invisible for a short time period like Twitchs Q which I think is another neat way to add more options in LOL.

Also I don't know how this relates to dota but just a quick thought on something else that can be changed or altered. Some abilities or effects cannot be countered. Like a kayle ult, zhonyas, poppy ult, tryn ult, without taking their effects COMPLETELY out of the game I think there should be a way to counter everything. Maybe an item that removes buffs on enemies. Like a mikaels but opposite maybe not so much for the ultimates but definitely something like the zhonyas. Im not sure how to fix this actually just throwing something out there that could be talked about.

Those are all things LoL *shouldn't *have, and they've all been discussed at length before. They don't mesh with how League is designed, but are just fine in Dota 2.

If you like those mechanics, they're not likely leaving Dota any time soon, and there's no grind to get runes or heroes there either, so you can enjoy them right off the bat.
