Tribunal, Why you punish the victims?

So yeah everyone has a bad game, and in this particular one, I was. and due to the way i was playing that game i kept getting verbally abuse and harassed. First it was just my mid picking on me. Calling me names and what not and i tried to ignore it, But when two or more people started saying "report" or "this naut so bad". It gets to you, i kept getting cyberbullied and decided to leave the game instead of getting bombarded with hateful remarks. After that game ended I got thrown into a lower queue making me wait for 10mins before i can play a game...I just have a question, does the tribunal actually look through these reports of disconnecting or do they just have a machine that counts on how many reports you get in the game? P.S. RUDE PEOPLE MAKE THIS GAME A LIVING HELL

There is a mute button if your only concern is not wanting to be exposed to the abuse. You don't have to leave the game.

Excessive leaving of games will be punished, yes.

if you call this "cyberbullying" then you have seen nothing. comparing 45 minutes of little raging kids to systematic humiliation is just wrong. If you dont have patience with other people's mistakes you are not much than them. There will always people making them and instead of leaving you should try to just tell them to stop WITHOUT insulting etc. if everything fails you can mute them.

but seriously, random people who dont know you writing random words, why should anyone be mad?

Reports have almost no effect regarding disconnects. There is a system in place that automatically detects whether or not you are connected to the game, and if you leave enough, automatically applies a sanction.

This is handled via automation, because leaving is a pretty binary thing. You're either playing the game or you're not.

If other players are bothering you with what they're saying, mute them. There's no reason you should have to listen to them whatsoever, especially when you have a tool that allows you to avoid it. If it really bothered you, be sure you report them after the game. All of the behavior systems Riot has in place to handle toxicity are contingent upon the report system, so if you don't report it, Riot won't know about it.
